Happy Summer!
I hope you are staying cool and enjoying a much-needed summer vacation or staycation. I love staycations! I always have big plans for things to do around the house, but usually just catch up on reading (non-tax related) while relaxing on my lounge chair on the patio and enjoying an iced Starbucks beverage.
This summer I’ll spend some time coming up with additional topics for this blog. I generally try to base them on FAQs from my clients (see record retention and home sale posts) or info to help us work together (see tax organizer and why I hate staples posts). If you have any topic suggestions, feel free to send them my way.
Of course, we have the One Big Beautiful Bill Act now, so I’ll definitely provide information about what’s included and how it may impact you.
In the meantime, July and August are pretty quiet from a tax due-date standpoint. However, September and October will be busy. Here are dates to be mindful of:
September 15th – due date for 2025 3rd quarter estimated tax payments and the extended due date for 2024 partnership tax returns
September 30th – extended due date for 2024 fiduciary tax returns for calendar year trusts
October 15th – extended due date for extended 2024 individual and corporate tax returns
So, please enjoy your summer and I’ll be back with more posts soon.
